A Vision Born in 2011.

When Elevato was founded in 2011, elevator shoes were virtually unknown in India. The category existed in Europe and the United States, but the Indian market had no dedicated, quality-focused brand willing to bring it home — properly, professionally, and with craft at its core.

We changed that. Elevato was among the first brands to introduce elevator footwear to the Indian market — not as a novelty, but as a genuinely refined product built to the same standards as any premium dress shoe. What began as a conviction that Indian men deserved access to this technology has grown, over fourteen years, into the country's most trusted name in height-enhancing footwear.

We didn't follow a trend. We created one. And that pioneering spirit — the willingness to build something new, carefully, from the ground up — remains at the heart of everything we make.

In 2011, the idea of a dedicated elevator shoe brand in India was, to most, an unlikely proposition. The market didn't exist. Consumer awareness was negligible. And the category had a reputation — in the few countries where it was known — that was more novelty than necessity.

We saw it differently. We saw a genuine, unmet need: men who wanted to stand taller, dress better, and move through the world with greater confidence — without resorting to anything conspicuous, uncomfortable, or compromised in quality.

When I started Elevato in 2011, I had a single, clear conviction: that Indian men deserved access to the confidence that comes from standing a little taller — and that the product delivering that confidence had to be something they were proud to wear.

There was no roadmap. No domestic competitor to learn from. No established consumer awareness to build upon. We were starting from zero, in a category that barely existed in this country. What we did have was belief in the product, belief in the need, and an unwavering commitment to getting the quality right before anything else.

Fourteen years later, I am proud of what this team has built — not just in terms of the shoes we make, but in the trust that tens of thousands of customers have placed in us. That trust is something we earn with every pair, and it is something we will never take for granted.

Ambur has been at the heart of India's leather craftsmanship tradition for generations. It is here that we built our own manufacturing facility — giving us complete, end-to-end control over the quality of every shoe that carries our name.

This is a deliberate choice. Outsourcing production would be easier. Owning it is better. It means we set our own standards, we train our own craftsmen, and we are accountable for every detail — from the grain of the leather to the density of the insole.
